How to measure your feet

Place your feet on a piece of paper with your heel against the wall, standing up.

Place a flat object such as a hardcover book against your toe so it sits at a right angle to the ground, then make a mark on the paper.

Measure the distance from the wall to the mark on the paper.

Each family fits a little differently. Find yours below β and note that the two families give opposite advice when you're between sizes.
WILD / WILD Lite / NOMAD
Between sizes? Size downWILD and NOMAD fit higher-volume feet despite sharing insole dimensions with FLOW and FLOW S. Because of that extra volume, if you are between sizes we suggest taking the smaller size. We also recommend thicker socks with WILD.

What is LONO's story and goals?
LONO was born in Hong Kong with a belief that moving naturally changes the way we experience the world.
We started by exploring better materials and more responsible ways to make products. Along that journey we discovered barefoot footwear β and with it, a different way of thinking about movement, performance and everyday life.
The closer we came to natural movement, the more obvious it became: modern shoes had drifted too far from what our bodies were designed to do.
So we set out to build something different.
Not barefoot shoes that looked technical or niche. Not premium footwear with inaccessible price tags. Just beautifully designed shoes that let your feet move the way nature intended.
Today, LONO creates barefoot footwear for cities, trails and everywhere in between. Built for everyday explorers, weekend adventurers and anyone who believes comfort should never come at the expense of freedom.

Will the shoes biodegrade while wearing them or in my closet?
The biodegradation only occurs in environments such as landfills and ocean where microorganisms are present.
The shoe has to be completely buried for the biodegradable process to take place, it won't biodegrade from dirt and soil on the surface.
What makes the shoes biodegrade in around 3 years in landfill or marine conditions and what studies support this?
We infuse our raw materials with just 1% GONETECH additive to offer microbes the ability to secrete acids and consume this material, turning it into methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2), biomass, and water. This material is certified to be effective in environments such as landfills and ocean where microorganisms are present.

Are the shoes vegan and what materials are used?
For our FLOW models, vegan-friendly sustainability is an ideology at the heart of their design. We use biodegradable materials, ensuring no animal products are involved. The shoe upper is a biodegradable polyester flyknit while the outsole is made of biodegradable rubber.
For our WILD models, they do use suede leather allowing them be more durable under harsher outdoor conditions that we expect our users to put them through.
Are the shoes waterproof and how do they perform in wet conditions?
The shoes are not waterproof but the upper mesh is highly breathable and therefore dries relatively quickly.
We are making improvements for wet surface slip resistance in the upcoming batch.
That being said, flow performs best under indoor & outdoor dry conditions.
Are the shoes suitable for people with bunions?
Several of our customers with bunions have found our flyknit upper around the bunion area soft and non-irritating. The wider toe box also provides extra room around the toes.
Do the shoes have arch support?
Studies show that barefoot shoes can reactivate the arch and strengthen flat feet. Our shoes are designed to be highly adaptable for people who are new to barefoot shoes.
Are the shoes machine washable?
You can use gentle machine wash on the shoes and air dry them.

What is the difference between FLOW, FLOW C and FLOW S and do you restock all colors?
FLOW C is the representation of extraordinary colors, while the shoe models are the same with FLOW (grey, black and white). Time to time we release exciting limited edition colors! We canβt say the exact time but various holidays is usually a good bet π But that also means that we occasionally discontinue some colors to make room for new ones - so if you like a certain color combo we suggest you grab it fast before itβs gone π¨
FLOW S has a more grounded outsole at 6mm, a reinforced S-knit pattern for lateral structure and a heel sling for better lockdown. These features are designed to perform better in strength training session πͺπ»
